The Joy of Rains
There are hardly any people in this world who haven’t loved
rains at some or the other point of time in their life. Rain has that magic
that captivates your soul and soothes it to eternity. It is just pure bliss. The
blooming of flowers, the growth of fresh tender leaves, the gushing streams, the chirping birds and
greenery associated with rains just melts the heart and brings an instant smile
on the face. The mere thought process is also such an instant stress-buster.
Well... so who doesn’t love rains? Just recall the following
experiences; The sound of heavy rains on the roof, the smell of mud on
receiving first showers, the sensation of rain on your body, the water puddles, the crazy rain
dances and games you’ve with your pals, the sound of a waterfall, the
thundering, the lightening. Aah! Phenomenal. Isn’t it?
There is no age-limit to loving it. While children enjoy the
puddles and paper boats, adults fancy their chances of getting cosy with their
loved ones and eating something hot and crispy. Rains bring in a lot of
nostalgia. You might have more than often heard of your grandpa telling you
stories about the times gone by. Rains re-create such vivid scenes in our mind
that it is impossible to stop the chain of thoughts which are set in motion.
If you’re in a relationship, there is incessant ‘I miss you’
happening between the love birds. Whereas, if you’re single there is lot of
football games (on the ground, not PC) and simply soaking in the rains with
your friends happening. Worse, if you had a break-up recently or had some major
quarrel with your best pal, the times kill you with all the damn memories.
Needless to say, rains is a season which makes you high on emotions and
sensitive to everything and anything.
Unknowingly, even the people who dislike rains are happy
about having enjoyed these moments. We all love and are simply crazy about
rains as a child. Infact, I remember waiting for June every start of the year.
It is just that as we grow up, many of us get so worked up with life and its
diktats that we stop cherishing these beautiful moments and start cursing it.
Since, enjoyment takes a back-seat and the mad, constant routine of being a
guinea pig takes the driver’s seat. Welcome
aboard. Wish you a boring ride.
Hence, I’d recommend you to all just go out full throttle
and enjoy the rains without any second thoughts once a month before the monsoon
season ends. Whatever it maybe; trekking, playing some sports, farming or
simply a walk in the rains. You’ll be refreshed right within, spiritually.
So take out those rain gear (needn't necessarily wear it) and march ahead.
Happy Splash-down!
Nice one
