Transitions (Pune intented)
This is one of the major transitional phase I'm undergoing through. Shifting to a new place far away from home, away from your parents, friends, peers etc. New places, new people, new experiences, it's all synonymous. Its all part and parcel when you leave home, kind of a package offer .
This one transition led to another, shifting to Pune for studies wasn't that simple as it looked. They say "Pune tithe kaay oone". Yeah. wow! so true. Besides, the conventional problems faced by everyone alike while shifting viz. weather, food and place in general. There are many more aspects to this place. Pune, the word itself speaks volumes about it. The people especially, they are some out of the universe creatures. Endemic and crazy for sure! The people affect the places and obviously the organisations and institutions. Basically any stuff that is run by people here has its own Puneri signature to it.
For instance my admission procedure which looks & sounds so simple was never easy. The 2 colleges I had sought admission (yeah i went through 2 college admission procedures, enough said I'm mad) for drew me insane. There is always some wrong thing happening the money get stuck, you don't find ATM's, if u do they don't work. The college makes you run to 10 different places for 10 different things from 10 different people. finally when they think this outsider may get admission they'll simply try harassing u by other means like come tomorrow, office is closed now. Even while going back home for vacations, there are always last minute twists happening. They always make everything so hectic that'll almost make u miss your bus. Just when u are about to leave.
P.I: Nothing is exaggerated or overblown. These are real anecdotes. On the contrary, they could have been under toned.
The people in general are mad. They are known for it. More than bhakarwadi & mastani shakes, Pune is famous for its hardcore puneri people. Their knack for irritating sarcasm and their supposedly way of answering you by counter questioning or troubling you more. This never ends. It's a rich legacy.
Another pain is the extensive breed of vegetarian people here. If you're a Goan, you've very little or negligible scope to eat some good sea food. So its death by starvation eventually. The list goes on...
With these transitions came other implied transitions. People were less in contact back at home. Folks maintained distance. Communication grew weaker. Changes occurred. Some relations down scaled, some boosted. But one thing is for sure the warm reception you receive on going back home in unmatchable. The pampering, the fun is just way too awesome. Finally some silver lining to it.
So it's necessary for all u folks to go out & explore. Experience bad-ass nature and the wisdom gained through it! *wink*
